As part of AirAsia initiative to improve boarding experience, they will fully implement AirAsia New Cabin Baggage Allowance Policy Starts March 2017. This cabin baggage allowance policy only allows One (1) Guest to carry One (1) cabin bag and One (1) small bag. The total permitted weight for two (2) pieces must not exceed 7kg

Need more information about cabin baggage allowance policy? Only one cabin bag is allowed. Yes, you’re only allowed one piece of cabin bag on board that must not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23cm including handles, wheels and side pockets. This bag must be able to fit in the overhead compartment.

In addition to that, you may carry one piece of  laptop bag, handbag, backpack or any other small bag that must not exceed 40cm x 30cm x 10cm. This item must be able to fit under the seat in front of you.

Therefore, the total permitted weight for two (2) pieces must not exceed 7kg.

But in case you need to carry more weight, MrJocko suggest pre-booking your checked baggage as it will help you to save more (instead of paying extra at the airport). It’s still affordable and value to book.

If your cabin baggage is overweight, oversized or exceeds the allowed quantity, you’ll need to check in them in at the airport counter. Airport checked baggage fees apply.

Important notice:

Multiple items that are strapped, wrapped or tied together will not be counted as one piece of cabin baggage.
