Scoot Airlines Kota Kinabalu Singapore

Scoot Airlines, the low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines Group, today launches the sale of flights for daily Scoot Airlines Kota Kinabalu Singapore services, slated to commence in December 2019. Now, Scoot Airlines fly to Kota Kinabalu Airport.

Subject to regulatory approval, Scoot also intends to commence three-times-weekly Kota Bharu-Singapore services in July 2019. Kota Bharu and Kota Kinabalu will be Scoot’s seventh and eighth destinations respectively in Malaysia, after Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan, Kuching, Langkawi, and Penang.

The Kota Kinabalu-Singapore route is one of 17 routes that SilkAir will be transferring progressively to Scoot from 2019 to 2020, as part of a detailed Singapore Airlines Group network review to better meet evolving customer needs. The new Kota Bharu-Singapore route will also provide Scoot a unique edge, being the sole operator from Singapore to fly directly to Kota Bharu.

Mr Vinod Kannan, Scoot’s Chief Commercial Officer, said, “We are thrilled to expand our network in Malaysia as it is a very important market to us. This beautiful country has so much to offer and with these two new routes – Kota Kinabalu and Kota Bahru, travelers will be able to ‘Escape the Ordinary’ with our unique Scootitude experience on board.”

Scoot currently serves a network of 66 destinations across 18 countries and territories, with 17 more destinations from Laos, India, China, Malaysia and Indonesia to join the network by the second half of 2020. Scoot has a mixed fleet of 18 state-of-the-art widebody Boeing 787 Dreamliners, and 29 young and modern Airbus 320-family aircraft, with two more Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 37 Airbus A320neo aircraft on order.
